The mother of a 2-year-old little boy was sleeping on the couch in her home while her toddler was left on the floor with a pit bull dog!!! According to a witness, the child tripped over a shirt, which must have startled the dog. The dog attacked, biting the child's face.

The wound started in the middle of the child's forehead and went between his eyes and down his face, according to the police. When the police arrived, the mother told them that the dog belongs to her boyfriend, who is in jail. Amazingly, when a dog warden was called, instead of taking the dog out of the home where the child will probably be returned to, the warden left the pit bull there. The warden did instruct the negligent mother to "watch" the dog for 10 days. The mother was not even watching her child when the pit bull attacked. What are the chances of her "watching' the dog. Another cause for concern: Police discovered the house had no running water. The mother of the victim has been told to stay elsewhere until she remedies the situation.
