Valdovinos got her 7 year old Australian shepherd named Breeze when she was just a puppy. This past August, she said, Breeze broke free of her chain (personally, I am wondering why she has her dog chained to begin with. Not much of a life for the poor animal). When Breeze broke free of her chain she ran toward a man walking his dog. Not surprisingly, the man felt he and his dog were about to be attacked and he kicked Breeze a couple of times. Breeze responded by biting the man who attacked him. All sounds like a big misunderstanding, doesn't it.

Before too long Valdovinos was notified that her home owners insurance would not be renewed unless she had Breeze killed and showed proof of the killing. Valdovinos did find one insurance company who was willing to insure her, but the premium is double and would exclude Breeze. Take it and then train your dog. This really is a heart-breaking story, I hope Breeze gets to live. One thing Valdovinos should never do is keep her dogs in chains. It is a miserable life for the poor animal. Train not chain.
