Pilots at Fault in Mid-air Collision

The National Transportation Safety Board said that the pilots of two planes were at fault in a mid-air collision that killed five in Corona, CA in January, 2008. The the two Cessnas collided about a mile from the small Corona Municipal Airport and just north of the Riverside Freeway.

The pilots, 73-year-old Paul Carlson, of Cerritos, crashed into the Cessna flown by 20-year-old Anthony Guzman, of Hesperia after being on a collision course for about 13 seconds.

The two pilots and their passengers were killed along with a car dealership employee killed by falling debree.
