Labeling changes have been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for erectile dysfunction (ED) drugs. The drugs that are being targeted are Cialis, Levitra, and Viagra. The new label would show consumers the potential for hearing loss.

The request was made by the FDA to the drug manufacturers after a small number of consumers had reported sudden hearing loss. It goes without saying that hearing loss is often associated with ageing. Accordingly, some users of the drugs who experience such a loss may not attribute it to the drugs they are taking. Consumers who are taking Cialis, Levitra, or Viagra and are experiencing sudden hearing loss should immediately stop taking the drug and seek medical attention.
