Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream has voluntarily recalled Dreyer's Slow Churned® Light Caramel Delight ice cream and Slow Churned Light Butter Pecan ice cream due to undeclared pecans. This could cause an allergic reaction that could be potentially life-threatening to an unsuspecting consumer.

Ninety cartons in all are being recalled. The problem is that the sides of the Slow Churned Light cartons identify the flavor as Caramel Delight, however the lid states that it is Butter Pecan. Due to the confusion and risk of harm to consumers, Dreyer's announced the recall of the mislabeled products. The ice cream was sold in various retail grocery stores. The identifiers are: BEST IF PURCHASED BY 09/11/08 - 049-32.
