Dog Attacks 2-Year-Old Toddler

Millions of Americans have beloved family dogs. There is no doubt that they become part of the family. Although, sometimes things don't go as expected, and the family dog attacks, biting the hand that feeds it. Such was the case with the vicious dog bite attack of a two-year-old little girl last week.

The unprovoked attack occurred on the morning of January 28. The two-year-old was walking in the family's home with her grandmother. It seems, they own a pit bull named Baily, who has been a family pet for years. The toddler was not playing with the dog at the time of the incident. The dog attack occured when the pit bull simply leapt at the toddler's head locking it in his powerful jaws. After the attack, the girl was transported to a hospital were she was stabilized. No criminal charges will be filed due to the fact that the child was not left unattended at the time of the incident. Additionally, the attack was unprovoked. However, the dog has been removed from the home. Surprisingly, since the attack was accidental and the attack was to a family member the police have no obligation to destroy the dog.
