Of late, it was made public that there is contaminated toothpaste on the market, which was imported from China. Today the Colgate-Palmolive Company announced that a defective, counterfeit product in the form of toothpaste falsely packaged as "Colgate" has been found in several dollar-type discount stores in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey.

The counterfeit toothpaste was imported from China and may contain Diethylene Glycol, which is highly toxic.
Fortunately, the packaging is easily recognizable. The package falsely claims that the toothpaste was manufactured in South Africa. Additionally, there are several misspelled words on the package.
