Due to pet food that is contaminated with a rat poison, at least 16 cats and dogs are dead, and thousands of others are sick and/or dying. It now appears that the contamination came from a pesticide spray, which contaminated wheat that was exported from China.

Many people are very worried. Even if pet owners are relying on the recall list provided by the manufacturer, Menu Foods, to decide which pet foods to avoid and which ones to buy, that in itself seems risky given that the original list has expanded since last week.

No doubt, many people are wondering what symptoms they should be looking for and whether they should make home cooked food as a precautionary measure. Even at that, the concerned pet owner would have to make sure not to give their pet any of the human foods that have recently been recalled due to salmonella. Is there any end to the food scares.

Doctor Debbye Turner renently provided some helpful information for pet owners regarding the current pet food crises. For those of us who are concerned about pet foods, and what to look for in order to avoid contaminated pet food, reading the the attached may be of some small comfort.
