Sage Products Inc. has announced a product recall. The product in question is a pre-surgical cloth known as a chlorhexidine gluconate cloth.

The recalled product has tested positive for Burkholderia cepacia (B. cepacia). B cepacia is a known cause of infections in hospitalized patients. Particularly because hospital patients generally have compromised immune systems. People who contract Burkholderia cepacia can have no symptoms at all to substantial respiratory ailments.
