Child is Thrown 40 Feet When Father Drives Drunk

It is a bit of a stretch to call what happened to little 2-year-old Emaralda Villa-Ulloa an accident. It is true that in all likelyhood her 23-year-old father, Jorge Villa-Rubio of northeast Salam, did not intentionally throw his baby daughter 40 feet in the air as his car failed to follow a sharp right turn, went off the road and rolled. The fact is, however, according to police, the childs young father was drunk at the wheel.

The one-vehicle crash was not found by troopers until approximately 6:40 a.m. The vehicle was not clearly visable from the street. The child was found at the scene but away from the site of the car crash. According to investigators, the little girl had apparently been thrown about 40 feet from the crash. The police are looking into whether the child was restrained at the time of the accident.
